Good News from John Fraser
  • Registration for September 2008

    • Registration dates for the 2008-2009 school year are as follows:
    August 26 - Gr. 12 - 9:00-11:30
    Gr. 11 - 1:00 - 3:30

    August 27 - Gr. 10 - 9:00-11:30 & 1:00 - 3:30

    August 28 - Gr. 9 - 9 ;00 - 11:30 with a tour beginning at 12:00

    Students not able to register on the above days may register on Sept. 2 from 8:00 - 10:00 A.M.



  • Online Attendance for Parents
    Parents are reminded that they can now access Parent Web, an exciting new communication tool with the school. Login to the John Fraser S.S. webpage at http://johnfraserss.peelschools.org/. On the left menu, click on Parent Web and follow the instructions. This will give you access to your child's attendance throughout the day, as well as their credit count/transcript and most recent report card marks. Note that once you have requested access, you will have to stop by the school to supply identification so that we know you are the custodial parent/guardian and that you therefore have rights of access to the student's information. After this step, we will grant you access and you will receive an automatic email confirmation.



  • Breakfast Club
    Thanks to the funding we receive through Breakfast for Kids, the Breakfast Club will continue to be up and running at John Fraser in the fall of 2008. Each week, approximately 150 students are enjoying breakfast at school for free.Our menu includes:granola bars, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice and chocolate milk.Many thanks go out to the staff and student volunteers that make Breakfast Club possible.. Parents can help in a number of ways.

    If you can afford a very small amount of time to pick up supplies, contact Ms. Tracy Johnston at the school.



  • Decide on DECA!
    Are you interested in a career in business? Want to be a big success? Want to travel? Interested in representing your province and country in an International Competition? Then, DECA is for you. It is a business students' competitive club. You will develop your communications skills, your problem-solving skills, travel to regional, provincial and international competitions and have a lot of fun! Your resume will shine after experiencing DECA. Come out and meet fellow business tycoons at Fraser--join DECA in September!
